Based out of Western Washington, the wood bat Cascade Collegiate League was established in 2018 to provide NWAC, NAIA and NCAA baseball players an opportunity to compete in Washington, Oregon and Canada during June and July. Managed by current and former collegiate coaches, the CCL places active college players on one of six teams to play 24 regular season games on college and professional baseball fields in the Northwest followed by post-season play for a berth to the Cascade Classic.

Q - HOW LONG DOES THE SEASON RUN?
the ccl opens (8) weekends of regular season play on june 5th, 2020, concluding on august 2nd, 2020. league playoffs and championship will take place august 3rd-5th, 2020.
Q - WHAT ARE THE LOCATIONS OF THE TEAMS?
A - ALL CCL AFFILIATES ARE BUILT WITH PLAYERS WHo RESIDE IN AREAS FROM ALL OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND ABROAD. by utilizing the TRAVELLING LEAGUE MODEL WHERE ONE CENTRAL PLAYING LOCATION IS USED LEAGUE-WIDE Every WEEKEND, THERE IS NO GEOGRAPHIC IMPLICATION FOR PLAYERS WHO ARE ROSTERED ON ANY ONE OF OUR SIX AFFILIATES.
for example: a player from seattle, washington may play on the salem salamanders, who will play no more or less in the greater portland metro area than the seattle seaturtles, snoqualmie chinooks, lynnwood llamas, burlington barn owls OR portland prairie dogs. all six affiliates will play in the same location in washington and oregon (precise 2020 field locations are tbd) every weekend.
Q - WHERE WILL THE GAMES BE PLAYED?
A - in 2019, the cascade collegiate league utilized the following fields for regular season and post-season play: Bannerwood Park (Seattle University), everett Memorial stadium (everett, WA), skagit Valley COmmunity College (Mount Vernon, WA), Wheeler Field (Centralia, WA), REGIONAL ATHLETIC COMPLEX (Lacey, WA), Concordia University (Portland, OR) and Linfield COllege (McMinnville, OR).
2020 field locations are to be announced, but will include collegiate and professional stadiums in washington and oregon.
Q - what is included in the player fee?
A - the ccl provides each player a 24 game regular season schedule and opportunity to compete in league CCL PLAYOFFS IN ADDITION TO A DYNAMIC ROSTER SPOT ON THE CCL SHOWCASE TEAM. the ccl sHOWCASE TEAM PROVIDES A 12 GAME EXHIBITION SCHEDULE AGAINST WEST COAST LEAGUE AFFILIATES.
ALL PLAYERS RECEIVE (1) FITTED 5950 NEW ERA CAP AND (1) DRI-FIT T SHIRT FOR THEIR AFFILIATE WITH (1) PAIR OF WHITE NEW BALANCE PANTS WHICH ARE KEPT AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SEASON. NEW BALANCE BASEBALL JERSEYS ARE RETURNED TO THE CCL AT SEASON'S END WITH EXCEPTION TO THE 2020 CCL CHAMPIONS, WHO WILL KEEP THEIR JERSEYS.
THE COST FOR 2020 IS $950 IF PAID AT ONCE, OR (2) INSTALLMENTS OF $300 AFTER A $395 DEPOSIT. THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL COST ASSOCIATED WITH PLAYING ON THE CCL SHOWCASE TEAM.
Q - IS HOTEL INCLUDED AT ALL?
ccl showcase ROAD TRIPS INCLUDE HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS FOR ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES. hOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED FOR REGULAR SEASON CCL PLAY, HOWEVER, GROUP RATE LODGING WILL BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO PLAYERS WHO REQUEST IT. CCL AFFILIATE MANAGERS WILL ASSIST PLAYERS WHO REQUIRE in-SEASON LODGING IN ORGANIZING THEMSELVES TO SHARE AND THE REDUCE THE COST PER PLAYER AS MUCH AS possible. hotel reservations will not be made by the ccl on behalf of players for regular season play.
Q - MY CURRENT OR FORMER TEAMMATE AND I WANT TO CARPOOL TOGETHER, CAN WE ARRANGE TO BE ROSTERED ON THE SAME AFFILIATE?
SINCE ALL AFFILIATES ARE TRAVELING TO THE SAME CENTRAL LOCATION EVERY WEEKEND, (which will change on a week by week basis), players can easily carpool with players from any of our six affiliates. however, a team request form will be made available to all players before rosters are announced in the players' only groupme. the ccl front office will do its best to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee every one can be honored.
Q - HOW ARE THE ROSTERS FORMED?
the ccl forms rosters based on a series of complex criteria including but not limited to: positional depth, competitive balance, player-submitted carpool requests and distributing an ncaa, NAIA and NWAC compliant number of teammates on the same collegiate summer team to be managed by a member of their own coaching staff.
Q - I don't live in western washington or the portland metro area... would i still be eligible to play?
Yes. the CCL drew players from 13 different states in 2019. all games for any given weekend will take place in that central location for the duration of the weekend. players are responsible for getting themselves to and from the league site each weekend and are not required to be in Western Washington or the portland metro area from monday through thursday. The league was structured to allow players to work, train and/or intern over the summer during the work week while providing an organized and competitive developmental environment using top-tier facilites during the weekend.
